Behind Sonrisas

At Sonrisas, our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ by serving children and families with compassion, hope, and kindness. We are committed to meeting both practical and emotional needs, bringing encouragement, restoring dignity, and reminding every person we serve that they are deeply loved by God.

Inspired by faith and driven by service, we strive to create lasting hope through every act of generosity, every helping hand, and every smile we share.

Our vision is to build communities where every child and every family experiences God’s love, finds hope for the future, and knows they are never forgotten.

Our Story

Sonrisas was born from a calling that God placed in my heart long before I knew what it would become. Since I was a little girl, I have always had a deep desire to help others, especially children and families in need. Looking back, I now realize that God was preparing my heart for a purpose much greater than I could have imagined.

The name Sonrisas, which means “Smiles,” was chosen to honor and remember my beloved nephew, Jason. He had the most beautiful smile I have ever known. His smile was filled with love, warmth, kindness, and joy. Just looking at him smile brought comfort, tenderness, and happiness to everyone around him. His smile had a special way of making people feel loved.

I never imagined how much his smile would come to mean to me. Today, Sonrisas is a reminder of the love and light that Jason shared with the world. It represents the hope that one simple smile can brighten someone’s day and remind them that they are loved.

I also believe that God used Jason’s life to strengthen the calling He had already placed in my heart. Through Sonrisas, I pray that his memory continues to inspire acts of kindness while reflecting the love of Jesus Christ.

Every smile we share is a tribute to Jason’s beautiful memory and, above all, a reflection of God’s love. What began as a calling in my heart has become a mission to serve others with compassion, hope, and faith—sharing God’s love, one smile at a time.
